Hi! I’m so happy that you are here! I hope this holiday season has been one full of love and memories. My Christmas this year was full of mixed feelings. My dad passed away 5 years ago on Christmas Eve and the last couple of years were okay, but this one, not so much. He was heavy on my mind. That’s the thing about grief. It comes and goes and is completely unpredictable. I’m truly thankful for the love and support I’ve received and the ability to make new memories with those closest to me.
I look back on the goal I set for myself in regard to my writing. My goal was to have my debut novel finished. Did I complete my goal? No, but that’s okay. I’ve made major rewrites that will improve it. With that being said, my goal for 2023 is to have it completely finished. I’m going to aim to have it finished by the summer. Which means, hopefully I’ll have the rough draft of book two in the works by the end of 2023.
Did you finish your goals for this year? What are you goals for next year? I would love to know.
I promised with my last newsletter to introduce you to some of my characters. My current WIP doesn’t have a title yet, but it is a dark fantasy about how it’s okay to go your own way.
The first character is my heroine, my MC, Sister Ashleigh James. She was born into the most powerful blood line of witches and is soon expected to ascend to High Priestess. She has a huge secret that could be deadly for those involved. She is torn by what she is expected to do and what she feels is right, all while trying to find her way out of the love triangle she managed to get stuck in. Next month, I’ll introduce you to one of the men in the love triangle.
Thank you for being here and I wish you all the happiest of holidays this season. Remember there is no timeline to chasing your dreams.
